Apartment fire at Paradise Gardens causes $124,000 in damage

One person and three pets were displaced from an apartment fire reported at the Paradise Gardens complex Wednesday.  

The incident was reported at 11:11 a.m., Feb. 2, 2022, at 851 South Kīhei Road.  

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a working fire.  Crews managed to contain the blaze to the one-bedroom apartment of origin, and brought the fire under control within a half-hour.

The resident was not home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The fire caused an estimated $124,000 in damage to the structure and its contents.
