Multi-Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winner Sean Naʻauao is the concert headliner at The Shops at Wailea on June 30. The live performance will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. and benefit Hospice Maui, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing care to local families experiencing a bereavement state.

Photos: 2023 Makawao Rodeo Parade winners, outstanding entries

The Makawao Rodeo Parade returned in full flair on Saturday after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Spectators were greeted in true paniolo style with mounted and walking units, and popular stick horse races for keiki. The 2023 Parade Grand Marshal, Donna Otsuka directed the keiki pāʻū unit, and Duane Hamamura was the event’s Special Honoree this year.

This month’s popular Hawaiian Music Series will be held on June 29 at 6 p.m. on the Baldwin Home Museum lawn, and will feature young Hawaiian music talent, Wehilei.
